Niall Stringer
With over 20 years of experience in setting up and running highly successful businesses, Niall Stringer is a seasoned entrepreneur with a proven track record of leadership, strategic thinking, and business growth.
Niall’s entrepreneurial journey began with his own construction business, which he ran successfully for two decades. His ability to build and scale businesses was further demonstrated when he brought the Flying Tiger Retail brand to Ireland in 2011. Under his leadership, Flying Tiger expanded rapidly, growing to 28 stores across the country and achieving an impressive annual turnover of $20 million. In 2016, Flying Tiger was recognized as an EY Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist, a testament to the success and innovation Niall brought to the business.
In 2017, Niall sold the business and went on to develop the Flying Tiger brand in the United States, overseeing its growth and expansion until 2021. Since then, Niall has shifted his focus to property development and management, while also leveraging his vast experience to assist retailers in expanding their presence in Ireland.
Known for his practical, hardworking, and calm approach, Niall possesses a unique skill set that includes exceptional people management, strategic operations, deep financial understanding, and comprehensive marketplace analysis. He is also highly skilled in delivering high-level project management, ensuring that complex ventures are executed with precision and efficiency.
Niall is a Captain in the Reserve Defence Forces in Ireland, where his leadership, discipline, and strategic mindset further complement his business acumen.

Gillian Maxwell
Gillian Maxwell is a seasoned HR professional and business leader with a strong track record of organisational success, people development, and community engagement. She holds a degree in Human Resources and French, and her career began with the IBEC EOP Programme in Paris, where she gained early international experience in business operations.
Upon returning to Ireland in 1999, Gillian founded Metamorphose, an outsourced graduate training programme aimed at helping young professionals develop the skills they needed to succeed in the workforce. Her passion for people and organisational development was clear from the outset, and she quickly became recognised for her strong staff planning and organisational skills.
In 2002, Gillian followed her passion for large-scale events by joining the organising committee for the 2003 Special Olympics World Summer Games held in Ireland. She played a pivotal role in running the DAL Programme, which paired bi-cultural and bilingual volunteers with delegations from around the world. Her exceptional ability to manage people and logistics made the programme a resounding success, and it remains one of her most rewarding professional experiences. In a light-hearted twist, she also married Niall at the end of the summer—an unexpected, yet memorable, "organisational requirement" following the games!
Gillian then spent ten years as a Recruitment Specialist in the HR team at Trinity College Dublin, where she honed her skills in talent acquisition, recruitment strategy, and organisational development.
In 2012, with the support of Trinity College, Gillian transitioned to a new chapter by joining Flying Tiger Copenhagen to work full-time alongside Niall. In her role, she was responsible for overseeing the people side of the business in both the Irish and US markets. Gillian managed all aspects related to colleagues and customers, ensuring a positive company culture while also focusing on strategic growth and business development.
Since returning to Ireland, Gillian has channeled her expertise into mentoring female entrepreneurs and retailers, helping them grow and scale their businesses. Her passion for empowering others is matched by her strong commitment to the community. She currently serves on the board of her local primary school and is actively involved with The Shona Project, an organisation dedicated to supporting young girls and women.
Gillian’s career is a reflection of her organisational acumen, people management skills, and commitment to supporting others in both business and community contexts.
